Terrence O’Neal Architect, LLC was commissioned to design this new facility for United Bronx Parents Inc., a private not-for-profit human service agency in the South Bronx. The new 38,000 SF, 5-story facility is designed to enhance the agency’s capacity to provide substance abuse, social, educational services to their community.
OASAS-licensed residential treatment program occupies the major portion of the building. The facility accommodates a total of 100 beds as a residential treatment facility so that women can enter substance abuse treatment and bring their children as well. The program includes common and support spaces such as kitchen & dining room, lounge, laundry, medical & counseling offices, and childcare center.
Funding Source: NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).
